1. Overview & Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how DigiMitra (“we”, “our”, or “us”), operated by DigiWellie, collects, uses, processes, and protects your information when you connect your Instagram Professional Account (Business or Creator) to our platform via Meta Platforms, Inc. APIs.

By authorizing DigiMitra via Meta Instagram Login or Facebook Login, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. We adhere strictly to the Meta Developer Platform Terms and the Meta Privacy Policy Requirements.

2. Information We Collect via Meta APIs

We only access and collect the minimum necessary data required to provide automation features you explicitly configure:

  • Account Profile Information: Instagram User ID, username, name, profile picture URL, follower count, media count, and professional account type.
  • Direct Messages (DMs): Incoming messages and Instagram-scoped User IDs (IGSIDs) received through Meta Webhooks in order to trigger keyword-based auto-responses.
  • Post Comments: Comment text, comment ID, media ID, timestamp, and commenter username for automated comment moderation and reply workflows.
  • Story Mentions & Interactions: Story mention notifications and user IDs for sending automated acknowledgments or promotion links.
  • API Access Tokens: OAuth access tokens granted by Meta to authenticate requests to the Instagram Graph API on your behalf.

3. How We Use the Information

The information we collect is strictly utilized for the following functionality:

  • Executing automated responses according to user-defined keyword rules (e.g. sending links when users comment “price”).
  • Receiving and processing real-time Meta Webhook events for your connected Instagram account.
  • Displaying account metrics, activity logs, and automation dispatch statistics in your private DigiMitra dashboard.
  • Refreshing long-lived 60-day access tokens to maintain uninterrupted automation service.
🔒 We NEVER sell your data: DigiMitra does not sell, rent, or lease any personal information, message transcripts, or account data to third parties, data brokers, or advertising networks.

4. Data Security & Storage

We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to safeguard your information:

  • Encryption in Transit: All data transmissions between your browser, our servers, and Meta Graph API endpoints utilize Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS).
  • Credential Protection: Meta App secrets and access tokens are stored securely in protected environment configurations and memory stores.
  • Ephemeral Logging: Operational logs are retained temporarily for troubleshooting and rule performance monitoring, after which they are cycled and purged.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We only interact with trusted infrastructure providers necessary to host and deliver the application:

  • Meta Platforms, Inc.: Used for Instagram authentication, Graph API requests, and Webhook deliveries under Meta's Terms of Service.
  • Vercel Inc.: Our cloud hosting provider, which provides secure serverless compute and DDoS protection.

6. User Control & Data Deletion Instructions

You maintain full control over your data at all times. If you wish to revoke access or request complete deletion of your data:

Option A: Disconnect Within DigiMitra

Navigate to the Settings tab inside your DigiMitra portal and click “Disconnect Current Account”. This immediately revokes our stored access tokens and removes your profile details from our active cache.

Option B: Revoke Access Directly on Instagram

  • Open the Instagram mobile app or visit instagram.com.
  • Go to Settings > Apps and Websites.
  • Find DigiMitra under the “Active” tab and click Remove.

Option C: Request Immediate Data Deletion

To request immediate and complete deletion of all records associated with your Instagram User ID, please consult our dedicated Data Deletion Instructions page or email us directly at privacy@digiwellie.com with your Instagram username.

7. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal obligations. The latest revision date will always be prominently displayed at the top of this page.
